From the South – July 2018
Brethren,
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July and were able to spend time with friends and family.
There will be another excellent opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family coming up shortly at our annual summer picnic at Oaks Park. Please join us at Oaks Park on Sunday, July 29th for a fun-filled picnic/celebration! The picnic is an annual event put on jointly by Washington Lodge, Cornerstone Lodge, and Sunnyside Lodge. Quite a bit of work goes into the planning and preparation of this event, and we (the planners and preparers) would love to see a big turnout for this event!
The picnic at Oaks Park will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The menu will include burgers, hotdogs, brats, macaroni salad, potato salad, and coleslaw. There will be vegetarian options for the grill as well. You may feel free to bring other food as well, but it is certainly not needed. Water and an assortment of soft drinks will be available to drink. There will also be games and activities with many great prizes available to win. Washington Lodge will be allotted 35 “ride bracelets” to be given out for free, so please invite your family and friends who have fun-loving children! This entire event is free of cost to attend, and open to members of Washington Lodge and their friends and family.
I will be looking for two or three volunteers to help with set up and take down for the picnic. Set up will begin at about 8:30am on the day of the picnic (Sunday 7/29), and take down will be very fast at the end of the event (3:00pm). If you are available to help, it would be very much appreciated! Below is a quick rundown of all the important information:
