Grand Master’s Upcoming Official Visit, Plus Other Events

My Brethren,

Fall has arrived, and with it some much cooler nights – and a little rain. Well, the summer was amazingly warm and dry, so a little cool and wet is welcome. Not too much cool and wet, though, I hope.

At the end of September, on Wednesday the 30th, we will initiate another EA. Mr. Griffin will be initiated at 7:00 pm on that evening, at Washington Lodge. Please try to attend. If transportation is a problem, contact any of the officers. We will try to be of assistance.

Once again, a reminder that Washington Lodge is hosting the Official Reception for Most Worshipful Brother Don Stapleton, Grand master of Masons in Oregon, on Saturday evening, October 3rd, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at the Al Kader Shrine Center. No-host beverages are available at 5:00, and a buffet dinner, with Prime Rib or chicken entrée, is at 6:30. Cost is $10.00 per plate, and DINNER RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 29TH.

Then, at our Stated Meeting.on Wednesday, October 14th, MWB Don Stapleton will make his Official Visit to his home Lodge, Washington 46. Please make every effort to come out and support MWB Don. As stated before, if transportation is a problem, please contact an officer. We will try to assist.

My Lady, Karen, assures me that there will be a very entertaining activity for the ladies who come to dinner and choose to stay while the meeting is in session. She won’t share with me what it is, but she says it is fun.

The menu for dinner the evening of the Grand Master’s Official Visit is Waldorf Salad, Pork Loin with Scalloped Potatoes, Mint Carrots, and Apple Pie.
