Master’s Message – March 2018

Greetings.

Old Man Winter gave it one more albeit miserable try at forestalling spring. We took the plants that wintered over and virtually all of them survived. Now too finish pruning the roses in the back yard as mentioned I did the front yard last month. Other than that, I did a quickie fertilizing the lawn but haven’t done anything with the moss control which is desperately needed.

The Lodge meeting will be voting on the Capital expense fund that was read at our February meeting. This fund should have been instituted many years ago. All buildings require constant maintenance, or they just fall apart. We have one of the nicest Lodges in the area and the central East side location in very convenient. It is our Lodge and your support and participation will guarantee its future. Our Senior Warden and all of the Officers are putting the plans together for a gala One Hundred and Fifty-Year Anniversary. Many of you and especially the more Senior members may have publications or other material relating to our history. It would be a very good idea to donate them to the Lodge rather than have your heirs unceremoniously discard them.

Join us for our March Stated Communication and bring any ideas you may have. All ideas are good ideas.
