July 2019 - Secretary's Desk

From the Secretary’s Desk – July 2019

Brethren,

A very big thank you goes out to all the officers, who for so many weeks and months planned, what I think was a glorious send off to our next 150 years. From my first conversation with our Grand Master over a year ago as the first scheduled major event on his calendar, to our vendors, catering folks, sign makers, post card senders, and finally to our completed program makers we had, what one party goer said, was fun, educational and one of the best events that Washington Lodge has staged for many a year. For those of you that were unable to attend, but who would like one of our commemorative gifts we would love to make that happen. Please make WM Dennis or I aware and we will make sure that one is sent to your address on file.

This history of Washington Lodge #46 and the special events associated with it are being assembled for our future masons. This is just the beginning of our future planning and it’s exciting to know that there is still a lot of work to be done to document and track our membership and events as the years pass by.

The celebrations continue this coming week as we thank our founding fathers for our independence and the liberties that we hold dear, but also where families get together to, not only have picnics and fireworks, but to again thank our heavenly father for our freedom to worship and conduct our daily lives in peace and harmony.

Our meetings begin at 7PM during the months of July, August and September with light refreshments between 6 & 7PM with an extended course after the meeting. We will have degree work to do during the summer months and I hope if you can join us for one of our meetings. Summer attire is barongs if you have one.

An additional reminder that we will celebrate the life of Roland Lakey on Saturday July 13th at 7PM.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!

Fraternally,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
