It’s All About the Robe
Bethel 67 hosted a promotional event entitled “It’s All About The Robe” in conjunction with Bethel 4 from Kenton Lodge and Bethel 1 from Cornerstone Lodge. There were six members of Job’s Daughters and three prospective Jobies 2 Bee in attendance as well as supportive parents and Bethel Guardian council members. A lesson was given on the numerous symbolic references of the Job’s Daughters Grecian-style robe that they wear during their meetings. Following the lesson, the members were divided into teams of two members and one Jobie 2 Bee. Each team was tasked with creating and dressing their prospective member in a Job’s Daughters robe made with paper, tape, staples, glues, and streamers. They had to incorporate all the specification from the lesson using a Regalia instruction drawing.
Great fun was had by all as they watched these young ladies creativity. The Jobies 2 Bee felt very special and looked marvelous in their regalia. Light refreshments were served.
In a joint effort to build membership, Bethels 1, 4 and 67 will be meeting together and continuing with prospective promotional and social events during October and November. If you are interested in supporting these young ladies’ events please contact the Bethel Guardian, Peggy Morgan, 503-757-2021, to determine the location and dates of the next stated meetings or events as we will be rotating venues.
