Summer News from Bethel 67
The Job’s Daughters of Bethel 67 are working at numerous public events this summer to bring attention to our Order in hopes of building membership. In July we held three meetings with up to eight other Bethel’s throughout the state for the purpose of brainstorming promotional ideas. We will be working with the Portland area Bethel’s to provide a larger number of Job’s Daughters present at various events.
On August 1st, we painted fingernails for free at the National Night Out picnic in the Kenilworth Park. We met several young girls who would make wonderful additions to our membership. We will help Bethel 81 in Canby promote their group at a kiddie parade for the Clackamas County Fair. We will help Bethel 4 at a street market. We will travel to the Salem area to help in a corn festival. We are looking for other fun venues to help out at.
We would like to thank the Washington Lodge for the opportunity to spend a fun day at Oaks Park. Our attendance was small but our stories are big.
It has been a hot summer. Do you have many empty bottles and cans in your home? Bring them to the stated meeting in August and the Job’s Daughters will be glad to take them off your hands and turn them in to support our promotion and education fund project. Thank you again for your continued support as the members of Bethel 67 learn to grow in service and and Sisterhood to become better members of our world.
