From The South – August 2017
Greetings from the South,
The Annual Picnic, in my opinion was one of the best in years. About 11 am I was a little worried, but then around 12 pm it had all changed for the good, between the 3 lodges we had a great turn out of Adults and Children and in my opinion, that’s, what it’s about, Fellowship, Brotherly Love, bringing family’s together for 1 common GOAL, the FUTURE, (our children and our Grand Children), without them we have nothing. I hope that we double it next year.
There was plenty of Food, Drinks and Games. I would also like to thank everyone in attendance, and I would like to thank everyone who helped, from the person who did the smallest chores to the people who worked all day.
From, Washington Lodge 46, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Just remember one thing, you cannot build a STRONG BODY without building the CORE; if we build within, then it will BUILD OUTWARD!!!!!!!!!
Dinner Menu:
- Shredded beef tacos Chicken Enchiladas Spanish Rice
- Refried (or Black) Beans Chips & Salsa
- Flan or ice cream for dessert
My three-year-old daughter stuck out her hand and said, “Look at the fly I killed, Mommy.” Since she was eating a juicy pickle at the time, I thrust her contaminated hands under the faucet and washed them with antibacterial soap.
After sitting her down to finish her pickle, I asked, with a touch of awe, “How did you kill that fly all by yourself?”
Between bites, she said, “I hit it with my pickle.”
