From the East – December 2019
Greetings Brethren,
First and foremost, I would like to Thank each and every one of you, who have helped me along the way. Starting from SS all the way to becoming the WM of Washington Lodge; it has been an Honor and a Privilege to be part of such a GREAT Organization. 8 years ago, if someone would have asked me to speak in front of a group, I would probably have declined. So, Thank You so much for being good men and men that I will forever want to be associated with.
Enough of that sentimental stuff, November was a busy month, and The Occasional Grand Lodge was well attended. This next month we will have a MM degree on December the 4th at 7pm. On December the 8th, we will have our annual Christmas Party with Santa handing out presents to the children. We will also have Music being played by students from the local High School. Please bring your children and/or grandchildren to meet Santa. During our Stated Meeting we will go to refreshment in order to invite our family to hear The Dickinson’s Carolers. Please bring your family and loved ones for this special evening.
In keeping with the season; there will be a competition for the most unique Christmas Sweater at this gathering. There will be a coveted prize awarded to the winner of this challenge.
A new Mason was constantly reviewing his E.A. work in preparation for his examination. He gave no thought to reciting this in front of his five-year-old daughter. One day while in the bathroom he heard a knock on the door and he immediately asked, “Who Comes Hear?” The five-year-old responded, “A poor blind candidate and I need to pee.”
