From the West – December 2019

Brethren,

Please join me in paying wages to the members of the Lodge for their contributions in 2019 that lead to: The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Lodge, the initiation of 3 men starting them on their masonic journeys, the assistance to another lodge in conferring all three degrees on a young Coast Guardsman before he is reassigned, the hosting of an Occasional Grand Lodge, the cleaning of a storage closet, the awarding of a scholarship and the extension of three earlier scholarships, upgrading the entry to the lodge, the resealing of the parking lot, the resetting of seats in the lodge room, and many more accomplishments through the year.

Your Lodge has represented you and all its members very well this past year. Come to the December stated meeting and thank these brothers that have worked hard to produce these results. The list of contributors is not small rather it is large. This demonstration of the masons of George Washington Lodge #46 and its affiliate Lodges; Palestine #141, Oregon #101, Maritime #193, and Hawthorne #111 deserves recognition for a job well done.

As your Master Elect, I commit to you that to the best of our ability the Officers for 2020 will continue to strive to be Better Men and improve ourselves and the Lodge in Masonry. It is important that we all understand to improve we much make changes, continuing the same behavior and expecting a different outcome is simply irrational. We need your participation and wisdom in this effort.

I look forward to paying these wages to you and all the Brothers that made this a memorable year, at the next Stated meeting along with the Dickens Carolers on December 11, 2019.
