daylight savings time

From the Secretary’s Desk – March 2022

So much of this year has been labeled with a pandemic, a virus that has made meeting a real challenge for most of us. It’s been two years since the first case of the virus was discovered and now, finally the mask mandates for most inside and outside activities will be lifted.

For most of us this unveiling has already started with around the table officer meetings and lodge meetings looking somewhat normal. But what now? Will the members of our lodge and others in our community show a rapid influx of members attending? It will take time for those that have not ventured out to feel comfortable in their surroundings and know the welcome mat is out for visitation and fellowship.

One thing that March provides for us is Daylight Savings Time. Being able to drive to lodge in the daylight is a welcome relief and with a Dispensation to be read at our stated meeting on the 9th, we will again ask that our starting time for lodge meetings move to 7PM during the months of June, July, August & September.

The master and officers are working hard to provide you, the members, a unique experience with fun activities, good food and great fellowship. So, as you get more comfortable in attending lodge and we hope, making that 2nd Wednesday of each month to fellowship with your brothers, a must go event. We look forward to seeing many of you that have hunkered down over these last couple of years.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, take care and Happy Spring!!!

Respectfully submitted,

Don Stapleton, Secretary
