Celebration

The Celebration

We have been talking about it for months and now it is almost here. There is much more work to be done but for all of those that have contributed to this cause; I thank you. WB Dave Munson and I have been going through lodge pictures from the past and present and we can’t believe all the activities that Washington Lodge participated in at the old building on Burnside and now at our present location. The oyster feeds by Tom Turner and Gordon Young, chef extraordinaire, to the many installation dinners by Bonnie Martin and family to the official visits from MWB Erin Endicott, Judge Murchison, Bill Kirby and other District Deputies; we have a long history of promoting the fraternity and having fun along the way.

When you attend our celebration, you will see picture books of many of your past masters and the many activities we participated in both at the old and new building. This is indeed a journey that the members of this lodge should be very proud of. You will have the opportunity to purchase a publication, that the Grand Historian has made available, a remarkable event that took place in 1927, where some 450 masons participated in a Master Mason’s Degree in Eugene, conferred by members of Washington Lodge.

Brethren, if you have not made your reservation yet with our Senior Warden, Warren Burkholder, please do it right away. An event like this comes along only once in your lifetime, so please join us on Saturday, June 22nd and renew old friendships and participate in some mighty fine hospitality. Come out and meet the new Grand Lodge officers and have some fine Bar-B-Q from Busters. Don’t forget our June meeting on the 12th starts at 7PM.
