driving and texting

From the West – October 2017

Brethren:

I had my furnace checked in July and had the filter replaced. Have you looked into preparations for Fall and Winter? Additionally, remember that when the rains begin the streets become unusually slick, be cautious when driving. Also, and in line with this, the State of Oregon has established a law about texting or using hand held cell phones and they have attached rather large fines which only get bigger if you constantly abuse this new law.

Now for a bit about Lodge. Worshipful Brother John has done a fantastic job this year and if elected to the position in November I will need a great deal of help to equal what he has accomplished. It appears at this juncture that we will have a complete line of Officers.

The news of late has been nothing but a horror story about race relations and bans on foreigner entering the U.S. As Masons, we must remember that all men are created equal and that racial or religious intolerance should be strictly avoided. There is no room in Masonry for any act that will subvert the good office of our Craft.
