Staying Safe for Fall
Greetings from the West!
This has been a very fun, warm summer and the combined Masonic Picnic was a huge success!
Being an Oregonian, the absence of rain can be a bit unnerving, but it will return. Fall will be beautiful and the colors of the leaves will be glorious. However, they are going to accumulate on your roof and in your gutters. Periodically, you should make sure your gutters are clean and the drain lines are not clogged.
Have your car/truck safety checked. In what condition are your tires? Are all your lights, signals and windshield wiper blades in good working order? Have you had your brakes inspected recently? Rain’s effect on the roads, especially after a dry spell, is a crucial item to consider when out driving. Rain will cause any oil in the roads to surface and traction will be reduced.
Let’s all get out ahead of the next season to ensure that you and your family stay SAFE!
In closing, I would like to say that our current crop of Lodge officers are delightful and an energetic group of men. They will be invaluable to our Lodge in the coming year.
