Master’s Message – August 2017

Brethren,

Last month’s picnic at Oaks Park was a great success. It just gets better and better every year. It was very well attended and a great time was had by all. A special thank you to our JW Dennis Harris for adding a new game to the festivities and to all the brethren who came early to help set up. It was greatly appreciated.

Our August Stated meeting we will have our District Deputy visiting, although this will not be an Official Visit, I am sure he will have a few things to say. Speaking of a few things to say, our friend WB Jim Rosen will be in attendance – he is never short of words. Ha Ha

I would like to remind everyone that we have ladies, young adults, families and non-masons at our Stated dinners. Please refrain from profanity and any conversations that could be considered racist and bigoted. This does not project a positive image for masonry. This is not what masonry is about and will not be tolerated at our dinners.

We will be extremely busy throughout the rest of the year. Here are some upcoming Dates:

Sept 13th – Our Stated meeting, will be our Past Masters/Widows night. We will again open our lodge to all the ladies and guests. We will be fortunate to have the Past International Congress Secretary of DeMolay, Gabriel Jones-Gallardo, do the Flower Talk.
October 11th – Our Stated meeting will consist of Speakers Steve Dunn and Deborah Knapp, KATU news anchors. We will open our lodge to the Ladies and guests.
Nov 8th – Our Stated Meeting. Election of Officers.
Dec 3rd – GWMC Building Christmas Party.
Dec 9th – Our Stated Meeting. Dickens Carolers, we will open the lodge to ladies and our guests. Dec 27th – Saint John’s Day Dinner
