From the Secretary’s Desk – April 2022
I know most of you have noticed that the days are getting longer, daylight saving time has again messed up our body clocks, and what about those flowering shrubs and trees, that pollen is bad news for those of us with allergies. It’s remarkable that these many nature changing events are like our masonic lodges as well.
With the pandemic and frequent zoom meetings, lack of fellowship and only trips to your local grocery store, this April indeed seems very special. It’s a new beginning, not only for masons but for all your friends and relatives as well. We finally have that option to not wear a mask at many indoor activities. We can finally understand what people are saying and what their smile and face looks like. So, April brings freshness to our lives with degrees to confer, meals before our meetings and conventions to attend.
Brethren, now we need you more than ever to participate with us as we move forward in our activities and plans for the remaining months of the year. We, like many lodges have challenges to overcome but know that the principals that we hold dear, will allow us to succeed. So, let’s get back together, come down on that second Wednesday of the month and renew that fellowship and practice those traditions that we call Masonry.
Beginning in June our meetings will start at 7PM, and the dress, I know, will be a lot more casual. We look forward to your participation in the months ahead.
Respectfully submitted,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
