From the Secretary’s Desk – December 2019
Where has the year gone? A common remark from many of you as we sort through all the activities that have occurred this year. First of all, a very special thank you to all who participated in the Master Mason Degree for Brother FC Thomas Stubbs III. Evergreen Lodge #137 is most grateful for all the extra effort on behalf of the masons from Washington Lodge and other members participating. Thank you for a job well done.
The decorations have once again graced the entry, dining room and lodge room thanks to the efforts of Pat & Bob Keller, Judie & Tom Kissinger, Dave Munson, Larry Harmon, Matthew Cox, John Wagner along with Pat & I. We had a super time bringing the spirit of the holidays to Washington Lodge. Thank you all!
We have had a busy year with degrees, picnics; a school of instruction, hosting an Occasional Grand Lodge and most importantly, our 150th Anniversary Celebration. What a year it has been.
Don’t forget our annual Building Christmas Party, to be held on Sunday the 8th at 2PM. Santa, presents for the kids, a choir from Franklin High School and of course goodies galore; it’s always a fun time.
Please plan on joining us for our stated meeting on December 11th. The Dickens Carolers will again entertain us during the meeting. We also have some special presentations to make. I assure you. T0he dinner will be delightful and the fellowship extra special.
Our annual installation of officers will be held on Wednesday December 18th at 7PM. Your presence would be most appreciated.
For all of you who are traveling this Holiday Season, I wish you God speed and the very best of wishes for a very Healthy and Happy New Year.
So Mote It Be,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
