Master’s Message – September 2019

Greetings from the EAST,

Summer is coming to an end. I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. Washington Lodge has been very active during our summer months and from the looks of things our winter months should be just as busy. Washington Lodge will be helping Evergreen Lodge with an EA Degree at 7pm on September 25th at 3612 SE 52nd Portland, Oregon.

On November 16th from 9am until 3pm, the Occasional Grand Lodge will be held at Washington Lodge. If you plan attending, please sign up on the Grand Lodge’s web site.

Stated Meeting for September is the 11th at 7pm. Snacks and Fellowship from 6-6:45pm and a Light meal after the Stated Meeting.

MASONIC CRITICISM: We know that in the character of a Master Mason, you are authorized to correct the errors and irregularities of your uninformed Brethren and to guard them against a breach of fidelity. But before criticizing a brother, take head of that adage and never criticize another until you have walked a mile in his shoes. There are two good reasons for this. Firstly, if he gets mad at your criticism, you will be a mile away. And secondly, you’ve got his shoes.
