From the South – August 2019

GREETINGS FROM THE SOUTH:

Our stated meeting was well attended for a mid-summer meeting. The Oaks Park Annual Picnic hosted by Cornerstone, Sunnyside and Washington lodges was a huge success! The prizes won were happily enjoyed by the winners. I enjoyed being part of that. WB Eric did a good job in preparation, so please give him a big “”thank you”” for his effort. Many of you may not know, but we came very close to not having a grill to cook on, however, it showed-up just in time for the cooks to work their magic ‘good food – job well done!

MWB Don Stapleton called an excellent bingo. It was also nice to see our District Deputy RWB Jim Akers attend along with the Grand Commander of the Knights Templar, Ralph Winters. The event was said to be given an ”A” by some of our guests…it was also good to see some EA’s, FC’s and potential Masons there to experience one of our events!

A good time was had by all and the smiling faces of the children who were in attendance was in abundance.
