From The Secretary’s Desk
A lot is going on at Washington Lodge during these upcoming three months. We have a visit to Washington #4 in Vancouver; our stated on the 10th will feature some great entertainment with the celebration of Mother’s Day and a resolution will be read in June to start the process of a merger with Sunnyside Lodge #163. What we need is your participation at our meetings and your input. Please let our Master John know if you are planning to attend. We are celebrating our ladies, so please bring them along.
We have been discussing our MERGER with Sunnyside Lodge for several months and I thought that you might want to know a little of our history with other lodges. Our last merger was with Palestine Lodge #141 in 2011, with Oregon Lodge #101 in 2009, with Maritime Lodge #193 in 1984 and Hawthorne Lodge #111 in 1983. Sunnyside Lodge #163 has been meeting in our building for several years after their move from 39th & Hawthorne. They were chartered on June 17th, 1915, and currently have 49 members.
We all look forward to good times ahead and hope that the weather will cooperate so that sunshine will prevail in the months ahead. Don’t forget that our meetings will start at 7PM for the months of June, July, August, and September. Plan on spending that one meeting a month with us. Looking forward to seeing you.
