From the West – April 2023

Greetings from the West!

The presence of Music in our lives can hardly be overstated. The contribution of the Musician to our proceedings are so often overlooked. We are particularly blessed to have Worshipful Gary Ball as an active member of our Lodge. His ever presence and harmonious piano provide a background not only for our meetings and rituals but for a good part of our socializing. As much as he enjoys playing does not relieve us from sharing our appreciation. He also happens to be the Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Oregon and frequently joins the Grand Master on official visits. On many of these visits Gary ends up as the substitute musician for the visit in the absence of both the Grand Lodge Organist and the local Lodge Musician. Brother Gary also is a Washington Lodge No 46 Trustee providing important guidance to the management of our building and investments.

Please join me in offering Brother Gary our vocal thanks for his talents and contributions to our Lodge and the Fraternity.
In the dining room you will notice that we have replaced half of the overhead florescent lighting with new brighter and more efficient LED lights. The second half of the project is expected to be completed this month. A special thanks to Brother Dylan McComisky.
