It goes without saying that 2022 went mighty fast. Everyone we talk to says the same thing- where has the year gone? It’s been one of those years which we won’t soon forget, with turmoil nationally and health issues lingering about.
We have a lot to look forward to as new officers are taking the reins with new programs and ongoing issues that we still must address.
WB John has stepped out of the box and plans an exciting list of events and gatherings that I know you will want to participate in. We will be working on obtaining the Grand Master’s Achievement Award with more of the members obtaining their Basic Proficiency Card and reworking some of our by-laws, making them user-friendly and easier to understand. We have a dedicated group of officers who are excited about the future of Washington Lodge and will strive to meet the challenges ahead. What we need are those brothers wanting to be part of this journey. We look forward to hearing your ideas and being part of their development.
Our stated meeting in January is on the 11th, with dinner at 6:30 and our meeting an hour later, should I say, 7:30PM. If you need a ride, please call any of the officers and we will make every effort to get you to the lodge.
2023 will be a good year and I hope to see many of you in the months ahead. My very best wishes to our Masonic Family for a very healthy and prosperous new year!!
Respectfully submitted,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
