From the East – February 2022

Greetings from the East:

The new year at Washington Lodge started off with a Bang! After a super delicious meatloaf dinner, made by Chef Paul, we had a short presentation of a 50-year Jewel to WB Ken Hall. We then proceeded into lodge and had a great meeting. I am very proud of my officers as both opening and closing ritual was practically word perfect. The Grand Master was presented with some gifts and gave an informative talk. Pie and cookies afterwards in the dining room closed out a great night.

Our next Stated in February looks to be another great night. It is our night to Honor the ladies and we will start with a Swiss Steak dinner at 6:30pm. After the men open lodge, we will go to refreshment, bring in the Ladies and have a short presentation. We have something special planned so please try to attend if possible.

We are upgrading our Security around the building with 4 new Cameras being installed on the outside of the building and possibly a new door lock that is tied into the alarm system. The camera’s will be able to be monitored in real time and will have a 10-day recorded back up. The new door lock is special in the fact that it can lock itself after a set amount of time goes by. So, if you were to leave and forget to lock the door, after 30 minutes it will lock itself.
