Journal Message for September 2021
It’s hard to keep up with all that is happening locally, nationally, and worldwide. It seems that most of the events that we read about, see on TV and the like are all bad news. While our masonic organizations are trying again to start this fall season full of excitement, there is that over whelming caution of a virus that is still making our associations just a little more challenging.
So, the question is, how do we proceed and still have that kind of fellowship, with dinners, degrees and entertainment that we are all accustomed to? I still am having several inquiries about Freemasonry. Men are reaching out and wanting to associate with others with high morals, and a sense of purpose. We have an EA Degree planned for the 22nd of this month. What we need is your presence to welcome this new brother into our fraternity. SIDELINERS, supporters of our lodge and what we do here. We need you to attend our meetings and make suggestions about how this lodge will look in the months and years ahead. Your officers have been doing a remarkable job keeping this lodge running with a pandemic still lingering in the communities we live.
So, the answer to the question in answered by the fact that we are masons and members of Washington Lodge #46 AF & AM, and whatever comes our way we are going to deal with it. We trust our future will be bright and even with a few hic-ups along the way I am confident that what lies ahead will be blessed with peace, harmony, and goodness for all of us.
