From the West – February 2021

GREETINGS from the West…

February is a busy month with Presidents day and Valentine’s day. It is also a busy month around the Lodge with a couple of new projects.

The Building Board has started the process of getting bids to upgrade our security system in the building. In addition to upgrading the security system, we are going to tie in the smoke detectors to the alarm system. This is critical in case there is a fire, and no one is in the building. With the system being monitored, if there is an alarm, fire /police can be dispatched quickly.

We are also taking bids for Janitorial services in the building. This will provide a more stable cleaning schedule and ensure that the building is sanitized for your safety.

Both of these projects will enhance our building while providing our members a safe and clean environment in which to meet.

With the distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine, hopefully the restrictions on meetings will be relaxed soon and we can meet in person.
