From the Secretary’s Desk – February 2021
It’s been almost a year since we stopped meeting on a regular basis. We all have attempted to do our due diligence to protect ourselves and our families. We as masons strive to be social gadflies. Yes, we attend meetings but more importantly, we need fellowship with our brothers.
We need to meet and have that cup of coffee with our friends, talk about our lodges and world affairs. We hope and pray that these coming months will bring us some relief from the doldrums of the past as we look forward to a COVID-19 vaccine and the ability to meet in larger groups. We have men anxiously waiting to be introduced to our fraternity and for those waiting to have degrees conferred, we cannot wait for them to continue in their masonic journey.
Keep your lodge in your thoughts each and every day and plan to join us when we can open up again. We will need everyone’s support in the months and years ahead. This is a different world we are living in and with the values that masonry teaches us, we will survive and serve our communities better than ever.
DON’T forget Valentine’s Day is the 14th. Plan something special for your loved ones. Have a good month, stay healthy & safe.
Fraternally,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
