James Van Anda

My name is James Peter Van Anda. I was born in 1963 at Plainfield, New Jersey.

When I was six, my family moved to Rumson, New Jersey where I lived and grew up until I graduated High School. After High School, I entered the United States Air Force in the field of Security Police. After tours in Germany and Louisiana, I became a civilian once more.

My family owns a small knitting mill where we make custom knitted stadium blankets. I worked there as the shipping manager till 1993, when I married my wife, Marjorie.

Marjorie was in retail Management and that brought us to Pennsylvania, Texas, and, finally, Oregon in 1996. We both worked for the State until health issues forced us to stop working.

I started my Masonic Journey in 2006. I am currently a member of 4 Lodges. I am Past Master of Jennings Lodge # 9 in Dallas Oregon.

My Son, Douglas, was Oregon State Master Councilor of DeMolay International in 2015-16 and is now the State ritual advisor.

My daughter was Honor Queen of Bethel 43, here in Salem. And I am currently the Office Manager for Oregon DeMolay State Council along with being your Junior Warden.
