family relief

From the Secretary’s Desk – May 2020

The question that many of you are asking; when can we get back together and renew those old friendships? When will it be safe enough for us to meet face to face and conduct the kind of conversations that we have been so used to? It’s hard to make decisions about something that we cannot see or even touch. This virus is one that this world has never experienced and what lies ahead is anyone’s guess.

One thing we can do is stay home and practice all the measures that will protect you and your family. We know that many of us are in need and the Grand Lodge, on April 27th posted a letter to all Oregon Masons entitled “DISTRESSED MASONS OF OREGON RELIEF FUND” which is under the management of Masonic Aid. Please take time to read up on the latest information on the Grand Lodge WEB site. If this kind of aid would benefit you, please do not hesitate to seek more information.

Brethren, you cannot believe how important it is to stay in contact with your fellow masons. That phone call or letter of concern goes a long way in helping to keep our spirits up during this difficult time of confinement. Our body clocks are off and that affects your day to day activities. So, take time to study your ritual and practice our tenants of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth and patiently wait for the time when we can meet again.

Fraternally,

Don Stapleton, Secretary
