From the South – March 2020
When I was young, my father always said, “the older you get, the faster time goes.” I would nod and think to myself, “No way will that happen”.
Well, it’s March already! Before we know it, summer will be here, and we will be wondering what happened to the spring? I guess Dad was right. I can’t believe I turned 57 on the 24th of Feb. I still feel like I am 35.
For the Stated meeting in March, the dinner menu will be:
- Lasagna
- Caesar’s salad
- Garlic Bread
- Desert
Now let me explain. We were going to go with corned beef and cabbage. But everyone is serving that for dinners this month. So, the chef and I decided to go the opposite way. Be different, push the envelope as they say.
Some of the future dinners I thought of is possibly a Fish Fry night, a Hamburger/Hot dog BBQ night and a Baked Potato Bar night. If you have an idea for a dinner that you think everyone can enjoy, let me know and I will talk to the chief about it. If we decide on having your dinner one month, I will even let you ring the bell at the beginning!!
