Oregon Autumn

From the East – November 2019

Greetings Brethren,

October was a very busy month. We had a couple Degrees during the Month and it seems November will be Just as busy. This month, we have our Official visit from RWB Jim Akers, District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Oregon. If at all possible, please attend to show your support. November stated meeting we will also have the Elections of Officers for 2020.

Occasional Grand Lodge will be held at Washington Lodge #46, November 16th. Doors will open at 8am, the meeting will start at 9am and last until approx. 3pm.

Brother Jones was just Installed as the Worshipful Master of his Lodge. It was a cold night as he walked the four blocks to his home on that special night. He kept thinking of how his Brothers had paid so much respect to him on his elevation to that high office. It was his proudest moment as a Mason and he was now an installed leader of the craft!

His wife had already gone to bed, so he was careful not to wake her as he slowly slid under the blankets. As careful as he was, his foot touched his wife’s leg, waking her. She shouted “God, your feet are cold!” He responded, “Sorry sweetheart, but you can still call me Honey.”
