lodge history

From the Marshal

Washington Lodge is an amalgamation of five lodges: Hawthorne 111, Palestine 191, Maritime 193, Oregon 101 and Washington 46. Each body has a storied past that must be saved. Many earlier records are incomplete, hard to read, full of misspellings, lack organization or are lost to time. At present, we are working hard to assemble rosters of previous members for each group. As you might imagine, this project is a monumental task. We are pleading for your help. If you have any knowledge of past members or events in any of the aforementioned lodges, please share it with any one of our past, present or future lodge officers. This is part of your Masonic duty.

Furthermore, an even more responsible task for yourself, your family and the craft is to jot down your final wishes now. Entrust them to a close relative or a Masonic brother. Do you want a Masonic service? Where is your lambskin apron located? This job should not take a great deal of your time. This information is of extreme importance.
