Master’s Message for May 2018

The Stated Communication on May 9th will again include dinner before our regular 7:30 PM meeting time. WB Dick Bangle has been working hard to secure personal safety speakers for some of our meetings this year and the first presentation will be “fire safety” by the Portland Fire Department. This will take place shortly after we open Lodge that evening.

We are weighing the value of our large dinners as to lodge cost and their extension of our meetings. As an alternative and with the idea of having a bit of time to socialize, we will try replacing them with either light snacks before our meeting or perhaps pizza (or the like) after Lodge. Also, we will try opening Lodge earlier at 7 PM. This will begin on June 13th.

We must be wise and frugal in our deliberations and search for that which will improve the quality of the meetings and give reason to what we as Masons are doing. We are looking to you for ideas that will help us achieve the goals that we all seek. The above ideas are subject to change based on how they are received. So again, we need your input.

Let us work together to make our Lodge function to the benefit of all.
