Our One Hundred Sixty Eight Annual Communication
Brethren, its nearly June and our Annual Communication is almost here. It will be held at the Salem Convention Center again this year and for those that have attended in the past, it is always a fun experience. What you experience is fellowship, sharing ideas and coming together as a group to educate yourselves as to workings of Grand Lodge. You see those brothers that are new and those that are seasoned. Brethren, you are Grand Lodge, your voice and participation are important.
Washington Lodge # 46 AF & AM was chartered in 1869 and will be 150 years old this next year. We strive to make good men even better, and I believe that our lodge has continued in that vain. It was however not accomplished without pitfalls. We arose to the occasion and persevered, with members wanting to promote those good works in the years to come. Changes are coming, not only to meet the needs of our new and younger masons but to our veteran members as well.
We will be presenting a 70 Year Jewell to Brother B. Paul Dailey at our stated meeting. What an accomplishment!! Please come out and congratulate Brother Paul for his many years of service to masonry. A special evening for all of us and one you don’t want to miss.
Our meeting time in June, July and August have been changed to 7PM. Changes are happening and we want you to be part of it.
Fraternally,
Don Stapleton, Secretary
