What Does Heart Power Have to Do with Masonry?

In his book, The Essence of Leadership by Mac Anderson, there is a special section that describes the key to success in any business; that description by football great Vince Lombardi

is in the word HEARTPOWER.

So how does that apply to Masonry? It’s caring about your members not only as brothers but as human beings. It’s building trust within your group, like telling the truth, and following through with a project, in other words, doing what you say you’ll do. It’s something that takes time and effort, but in the long run, worth every penny.

We can add to the list the art of listening, expressing your opinion but also respecting another’s viewpoint. So it is, not only within our ranks but also within every lodge in this jurisdiction. Say thank you for good deeds done, convey that in an email or card sent and never forget that we meet on the level and part on the square. So Mote It Be.
