warming dinner

February News from Bethel 67

The Job’s Daughters Grand Guardian Council would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets for their warming dinner, held on January 30th, which were donated to women in crisis. Our dinner was very successful. LeAnn Quiroz and Peggy Morgan cooked up some great tasting soups. It was a joy to watch some less fortunate people find comfort in the warmth of our building and the food we provided. One woman was an accomplished pianist and played the piano for about an hour. It was wonderful background entertainment for all our guests.

Bethel 67 had a bowling party to promote our group. We had 6 friends bowl with us as well as Jobies from two other Bethels. We are warmed up for our next bowling outing which will be February 24 when we STRIKE FOR HIKE. If you would like to make a pledge to us for our HIKE charity which helps hearing impaired kids, please contact the Bethel Guardian Peggy Morgan.

A Mason from Sherwood Lodge was visiting a Washington Lodge dinner recently and ask if we would travel to Sherwood with baked goodies and auction them to his members. We look forward to doing that on Feb. 10.

The girls are excited to attend the DeMolay night at the Winter Hawks hockey game coming up. As always, we thank everyone for your support. It takes a village!
